Of course it's a cliché to talk at this point about cushioning and comfort. That's the point, they're also true, and Saucony wants to make clear that support and comfort is far more important than buzz and colour. Not to diminish the features like the Everun material that flows across the top of the midsole for increased energy return and additionally in the heel; or the prominent ISOFIT technology in the upper adapting to the foot's shape. That may leave some people to ask what differentiates it from the past Triumphs observed over the years. But that thinking can begin to raise questions of what we expect from running shoes: glitz or reliability? Which means that a shoe like the Triumph even when it isn't broadcasting its obvious benefits or eschewing flash in the pan buzz, it still, perhaps instinctively, is communicating its worth as a daily trainer effectively through cushion and comfort.
